Catalyst Metals Limited (ASX: CYL) is an Australian gold producer with a significant presence in three of the nation's most prolific gold belts. The company operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in Western Australia, the Henty Gold Mine in Tasmania, and the Bendigo Gold Project in Victoria. In June 2023, Catalyst Metals expanded its portfolio by merging with Superior Gold, thereby acquiring the Plutonic Gold Mine, which has produced over 5.5 million ounces of gold since its inception in 1990.
In Tasmania, Catalyst Metals owns and operates the Henty Gold Mine, a project with a rich history, having produced over 1.4 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 9.0 grams per tonne. The company aims to increase production to over 40,000 ounces per annum, leveraging low power costs and high-grade deposits. In Victoria, the Bendigo Gold Project lies directly to the north of the historic Bendigo Goldfields, which have produced over 22 million ounces of gold. At the Four Eagles Project, Catalyst has identified high-grade 'stacked' mineralization similar to the Bendigo goldfields, with the Iris Zone recently returning a mineral resource grading 26 grams per tonne.
