About Us

DDB has been providing drill and blast services to major mining companies, contractors and other customers since incorporation. The business has extensive experience in most areas of drilling and blasting, from large mining production drilling and blasting, to vibration sensitive civil construction works. The business currently employs approximately 60 personnel.

Orlando Drilling delivers high-quality reverse circulation, diamond, and air core drilling services to Australian exploration and mining companies. The subsidiary emphasises safety and productivity, utilising modern equipment and retaining skilled staff to ensure exceptional project outcomes.

Welldrill is a specialist water well drilling company based in Perth, Western Australia. It has successfully completed numerous contracts across Australia, serving a diverse clientele ranging from Tier 1 mining companies to small environmental management firms.

Craig is the CEO and Founder of Pharus Advisory Group, which he has led for the past 10 years. Prior to this, he was a partner at several leading mid-tier accounting firms. Currently, Craig serves as the Chair of the Harvest Hotels Group Investment Committee and is a board and investment committee member for Seed Partnerships Pty Ltd. He specialises in corporate and SME advisory and maintains close working relationships with his clients across various industries, including transport, wholesale trade, agriculture, and property. Additionally, Craig is a director and co-founder of Pharus Wealth Advisory.

Murray Rutherford

With a career spanning over 30 years, Murray has held prominent leadership roles across the financial services industry. Since 2016 as the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Australian Food Super (“AFS”), Murray has driven the company’s strategic growth, bringing extensive expertise in investment strategy and governance. Alongside his leadership role at AFS, he serves as a director on multiple boards within the; property, mining, energy, food, waste, agriculture and manufacturing sectors, where he contributes to the strategic direction and oversight of these organisations. Prior to AFS, Murray held key roles in Trading, Banking, Regulation and Product, bringing with him broad experience in the financial services field.

Andrew is a mining professional with over 35 years’ experience in a range of commodities including iron ore, coal, gold, nickel, copper and manganese. His operating experience includes senior management positions with civil and mining contractors Downer Group, HWE Mining, Mineral Recourses Limited (ASX: MIN), Thiess and AWP Contractors. He has been responsible for large infrastructure projects which have included iron ore processing plants, rail wagon and locomotive construction. In addition, he has undertaken a number of long-term leadership consulting positions with major Australian mining companies across Australia. For 9 years, he was a non-executive director of BC Iron Limited (now known as BC Minerals Ltd (ASX: BCI)) and CEO of Territory Resources Ltd (ASX: TTY) and currently consults to several ASX listed mining companies.

Darren holds a Bachelor of Business and is a highly experienced executive with significant mining contracting experience during his 30 years in Australia’s mining and resources industry. His extensive work history of providing drill and blast services spans key commodities such as gold, iron ore, nickel, coal, lithium, copper, lead and zinc, as well as specialised drilling and blasting for civil projects requiring precision in challenging environments, including those near critical infrastructure. Darren’s career includes senior executive roles in both ASX-listed and privately held mining services companies, where he developed a reputation for driving growth and operational excellence.

Sam Wright

Sam Wright has twenty years experience in the administration of ASX listed companies, corporate governance and corporate finance. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Institute of Community Directors Australia, the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and the Governance Institute of Australia.

Mr Wright is currently a Director of ASX listed companies, Great Dirt Resources Limited, Reach Resources Limited and Structural Monitoring Systems plc.

Mr Wright is currently Company Secretary for ASX and London Stock Exchange dual listed company, Resolute Mining Limited as well as ASX and Börse Frankfurt dual listed companies, Buxton Resources Limited and Dynamic Group Limited.

Sam has also filled the role of Director and Company Secretary with companies in Australia, North America and the United Kingdom.

Mr Wright is the Managing Director of Perth-based corporate advisory firm Straight Lines Consultancy, specialising in the provision of corporate services to public companies

Mr Wright has extensive experience in relation to public company responsibilities, including ASX and ASIC compliance, control and implementation of corporate governance, statutory financial reporting, merger and acquisition transactions, IPO listings and shareholder relations with both retail and institutional investors.

Thomas May is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in corporate governance and financial management. He is an Associate at the Western Australia-based corporate advisory firm Straight Lines Consultancy, specialising in providing corporate services to listed companies.

Mr May serves as Company Secretary for ASX-listed mining services company Dynamic Group Holdings (ASX: DDB) and gold producer Resolute Mining Limited (ASX: RSG). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Accounting from The University of Western Australia, as well as a governance qualification from the Governance Institute of Australia.
