Company Summary

1414 Degrees (ASX:14D) is an Australian clean‑energy and advanced battery company developing silicon‑based thermal storage and SiNTL high‑energy‑density lithium‑ion anodes. Its technology targets grid‑scale storage, data centres and industrial decarbonisation, while opening high‑growth pathways in both the defence drone market and the broader aerospace and satellite power systems market.

1414 Degrees’ SiNTL silicon‑anode technology has demonstrated materially higher specific capacity than conventional graphite anodes, directly addressing range, payload and endurance constraints in military drones while providing a pathway to adoption across Ukrainian and NATO‑aligned UAV fleets. In parallel, partnerships with European space and launch operators are progressing SiNTL battery packs through satellite, launcher and space‑based laser qualification programs, positioning the company as an emerging supplier of high‑energy‑density power systems for satellites, rockets and orbital defence infrastructure.

Space & Satellite Pathway Secured For 14D

Orbit Boy, a European space company based in Italy, will test 14D’s SiNTL silicon‑anode batteries for use in satellites, rockets and spacecraft, and, if successful, introduce the technology to its European launch and satellite partners.

Space sector sentiment is strong, underlined by SpaceX’s record US$75 billion IPO and subsequent ~50% share price gain to a US$2.6 trillion valuation, signalling intense global interest in space and satellite companies.

SpaceX has highlighted that satellite missions demand the smallest, lightest battery packs with the highest energy density; SiNTL has already demonstrated at least 50% higher capacity than traditional graphite anodes, positioning it as a potential fit for leading satellite platforms.

Orbit Boy’s program may extend to testing SiNTL in its Solaris space defence laser, a 1.1 kW satellite‑mounted system designed to track and neutralise threats, aligning with growing military interest in precise, low‑cost, low‑debris space‑based defence.

Subject to successful results, Orbit Boy may integrate SiNTL batteries into its launcher, Solaris laser and ARCap satellite service module – critical infrastructure for assembling, maintaining and protecting orbital, gigawatt‑scale AI data centres, a field being pursued by major players such as Northrop Grumman, Airbus Defence & Space, ThalesAlenia and Axiom Space.

Aurora Energy Precinct Advances To Commercial Power Transmission Access

  • Aurora Energy Precinct is a large renewable energy and battery energy storage (BESS) site being developed by 14D in South Australia. It is expected to become a major hub for grid-scale energy storage, renewable generation, data centre infrastructure, and industrial decarbonisation.

  • Commercial negotiations progressing with BHP under the Hill-to-Hill (H2H) term sheet and with ElectraNet for the substation and Transmission Connection Agreement.

  • Due diligence currently underway with several Data Centre and BESS groups for potential significant investment in Aurora, with 14D to provide further progress updates in due course.

14D Partners With Leading Ukrainian Defence Drone Manufacturer To Qualify SiNTL Batteries

  • 14D has signed a battery evaluation agreement with Energia 2000, a key Ukrainian, government‑approved defence manufacturer with over 25 years’ operating history, currently producing around 72,000 drones and UAVs per year and targeting a lift to 360,000 units within 24 months via its subsidiary Spectech Industries.
  • Ukraine now manufactures more than 4 million military drones annually, exceeding the combined output of all other NATO countries, with production expanding roughly 100‑fold in three years and over 500 active drone manufacturers rapidly iterating and deploying new platforms.
  • SiNTL‑based batteries are planned to be tested in live battlefield conditions in the Ukraine–Russia conflict, providing real‑time performance data for NATO‑aligned nations, allied governments and Tier‑1 defence primes evaluating next‑generation drone power systems.
  • Successful test outcomes with Energia 2000 are expected to pave the way for full integration of SiNTL batteries across Energia 2000’s drone and UAV production lines, creating a milestone‑driven pathway to potentially accelerated and material revenue opportunities for 14D.
