Botala Energy offers early exposure to a world‑class gas project in Botswana, with wells already producing and a 3.5PJ/year LNG plant in development. Strong support, approvals in place, and significant upside make it a potentially compelling gas play.

The Serowe Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Project
The Serowe CBM Project is a 100%-owned, world-class coal bed methane gas field in central Botswana, spanning ~4,100km² and transitioning from exploration to development. Early drilling has delivered flowing gas at up to 40GJ/day per well, with additional wells planned to scale production. A nine-well pilot cluster will feed a modular Galileo mini-LNG unit producing 0.25PJ per year, generating potential revenue of ~US$2.65m annually at US$10.60/GJ.
A Bankable Feasibility Study is underway for a large-scale 3.5PJ/year LNG facility with Chart Industries, underpinned by 108 production wells. The project is fully permitted, holds a mining licence, and has strong government and community support. Certified resources total 454Bcf (2C) and 7,112Bcf (3C), with only ~5% of the acreage drilled and a clear pathway to upgrading reserves to support 20 years of LNG production.
