Eco Detection Pty Ltd

A fieldable laboratory that outperforms other detection technologies.

About Us

Eco Detection Pty Ltd specialises in autonomous water quality monitoring, offering innovative solutions for real-time, high-frequency water analysis to enhance environmental management and operational decision-making.

Company Overview

Established in 2016, Eco Detection has developed the Ion-Q® platform, the world's first fully autonomous multiparameter laboratory-grade water analysis system designed for remote operations. This technology enables continuous monitoring of water quality, transmitting calibrated measurements in real-time directly from the site, thereby eliminating the need for manual sampling.

The company's solutions are utilised by major infrastructure operators, councils, universities, and independent laboratories across Australia and New Zealand. Applications include dynamic ammonium-nitrate control in wastewater treatment plants, optimising aeration throughput to reduce energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, Eco Detection provides services for monitoring dissolved inorganic carbon and nutrients, facilitating the assessment of long-term trends and short-term changes in coastal and ocean vegetation.
