Company Overview

Established in 2001 and headquartered in West Perth, Neometals has transitioned from traditional mining to a technology-driven enterprise focused on sustainable materials recovery. The company is commercialising three core projects: lithium-ion battery recycling, vanadium recovery from steel slag, and lithium chemicals production. These initiatives aim to produce battery-grade materials with minimal environmental impact and at competitive costs.

Neometals' strategy emphasises collaboration with global partners to de-risk project development and accelerate commercialisation. Steven has over 40 years of professional, corporate and business experience through senior legal consultancy, as well as a range of executive management and non-executive appointments. Christopher Reed

Managing Director / CEO

Chris started in the mining industry in 1990 and co-founded Reed Resources in 2001. Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Notre Dame and a Graduate Certificate in Mineral Economics from WA School of Mines. He is a Member of the AusIMM and immediate past Vice-President of the Association of Mining & Exploration Companies.Jennifer POrudie

Darren Townsend

Executive Director

Darren is a mining engineer with more than 30 years of development, mining and corporate experience. His experience includes more than 10 years managing ASX and TSXV-listed companies. He has developed and operated tantalum mines in Australia and Mozambique. Darren joined the Neometals Board on 30 June 2026.
